We take projects from the feasibility and initial planning stages all the way through the project design and construction phases. The firm has had significant success with public projects statewide. Vantage is best known for these projects; however, the commercial and private sectors have played a greater role in the project workload in recent years. Project expertise includes new and renovated facilities for municipal and civic uses, commercial and industrial, religious, health care, multiple dwelling, and K-12 + higher educational facilities. In addition to the traditional project delivery methods, Vantage Architects participates in partnerships through design/build and specialty type project arrangements. Vantage Architects is a member of the American Institute of Architects. The Principals of our firm provide professional services by maintaining registrations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Background We began in 1989 as a regional office for Bray Associates. On March 1, 2003, we became an employee-owned architectural firm. The name has changed, but the location at 750 North Third Street in La Crosse, Wisconsin, remains the same. The Principals, Jerry Schomberg and Brian Guthrie, are registered architects with over twenty-five years of experience. Over the past 15 years, the firm has been privileged to work on a broad range of building types. In addition to architectural design, Vantage offers HVAC, plumbing, and electrical engineering services. Vantage Architects' design approach is to provide the client with an imaginative, efficient, and fiscally responsible design. It begins with a statement of goals for each project and evolves into an individual project design philosophy. Part of our success is that we emphasize a design process which involves the owner's input. The owner/client becomes an active team partner during design and construction. Our strengths lie in the careful process of project development from initial concept through completion, while never overlooking the client's goals and budget constraints. Many clients have indicated that our firm provides a personal approach with a genuine ability to listen and respond to their concerns and needs.
