The Weber Center at Night

The Weber Center for the Performing Arts

This La Crosse Community Theatre project, now known as the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, involved design and construction of a new 31,950-square foot, three-story theatre/performing arts center located in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown La Crosse. The new facility contains a state-of-the-art theatre with a flyloft which seats 450 and a 100-seat black box studio theatre.  The spacious lobby with concession area accommodates theatre-goers comfortably for social gatherings.

The facade of the building next to the banks of the Mississippi River is constructed of curved glass lending itself to a magnificent view for all to enjoy. The structure is a standout when boating on the river or crossing the bridge entering La Crosse. The marriage of architectural elegance with traditional Italianate style cornices adds a freshness to the cityscape. The center complements the area’s urban renewal along the Riverwalk.

The parcel of gifted land is triangular in shape and contains 18,570 square feet. The building was specifically designed by the Vantage Architects to make the best use of this location on the banks of the Mississippi River in La Crosse’s Arts District.
